No matter how we relate it, food is the reason we see (or don’t see) the results we want.

Below I’ll show you what a typical day looks like for you based on how much food you should be eating and break it down in grams and ounces, what it looks like on a 2000 calorie a day diet.

Healthy Meal Plan For Weight Loss

At first glance, this is what a good dinner plate looks like for most people. Most of your plate should be vegetables and lean protein. If you can stick with this idea, you’ll be fine! I recommend eating the food you like. My first rule is that no one is forced to eat food they don’t like.

Although not mentioned in the diagram above, consuming healthy fats is important for our body, brain and maintaining proper hormonal balance. It should be included in our daily diet: (1 serving = 7-10 g of fat and about 10% of the daily diet. It breaks down to 30-50 g of fat per day. It varies from person to person.

This list is not exhaustive and does not require you to follow it to see results. I am not a registered dietitian. I share what has helped me and my clients from my personal experience. This is just a list of ideas for what your day could look like if you are someone who wants to lose weight or develop healthier habits. Knowledge is power, so the first step is always to be aware. That’s why you should try things that you love and that are easy to fit into your life. Don’t let a diet plan or trainer stop you or make you eat things you hate. I encourage you to try foods and methods that work for you and your health. Consistency is the key to getting results and keeping them!
